Accommodation
Lady Margaret Hall
The recommended accommodation for the conference will be within one of the University's Colleges. Bustling with students in term time, during the vacation the colleges provide a unique atmosphere for conference guests.
Lady Margaret Hall's grounds
Lady Margaret Hall, founded in 1878, is situated in one of the most beautiful areas of Oxford. It stands in extensive and exceptionally beautiful gardens on the banks of the river Cherwell, adjoining the famous University parks. The college offers spacious and comfortable accommodation. Its facilities include a squash court, tennis courts and punts, which can all be hired by delegates. The rate will be £38.90 (US$55.19) for a standard room, £42.12 (US$59.76) for a room with a basin and £54.08 (US$76.73) for an ensuite room. Prices include full English breakfast. Unfortunately all the rooms are single rooms. If you are bringing a spouse or partner with you, you will need to book a second room. Please note that all reservations will be handled by the conference planning group. Please do NOT contact the college.
The Rooms
All of the rooms are comfortable, with a single bed, desk, easy chair and ethernet point. An ensuite room has full bathroom facilities. A basin room has a basin with hot and cold running water, but no toilet or shower. Bathroom facilities are shared with approximately five other people (remember this is student accommodation!). Standard rooms have no washing or bathroom facilities. Again these are provided in separate blocks, usually only a few metres away. There are also shared kitchens with refrigerators, microwaves and conventional ovens on every corridor. Each room is provided with tea and coffee making facilities.
