Transport
By plane
Oxford is served by all the London airports (Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted and Luton). Heathrow is generally considered the most convenient, though it can also be more expensive. Birmingham airport and the East Midlands airport are convenient alternatives. The best ways to get from whichever airport you choose to Oxford are the regular shuttle buses or, from Birmingham, the train from Birmingham International station.
By coach
THERE IS CURRENTLY ENGINEERING WORK AT GLOUCESTER GREEN BUS STATION. COACHES WILL ARRIVE AND DEPART FROM OXPENS CAR PARK, WHERE THERE IS A COURTESY BUS SERVICE TO TAKE YOU TO GLOUCESTER GREEN. These buses run 24 hours a day, every 20 minutes between 06:00 and 22:00 and at least twice an hour between 22:00 and 06:00. See http://www.oxfordbus.co.uk/ for more details.
From the central Gloucester Green Bus Station (shown on the map below) it is a twenty minute walk to Lady Margaret Hall. The taxi fare is about £3.

By train
Oxford is on the main West Coast line operated by Virgin trains. The average journey time to London is 50 minutes with trains running at least every half hour. There are also frequent train services to Birmingham, with journey times of one and a half hours. The taxi fare is about £3.

By car
It is extremely difficult to park in Oxford and city centre parking charges are becoming increasingly expensive, so we do not recommend that you bring your car. There is limited parking at the college, but people giving presentations will be given priority for these spaces. If you do need to bring a car you may find the links to these maps useful:
