Individual libraries
Oxford University has a rich and diverse library sector comprising over one hundred individual libraries. There are major research libraries, libraries attached to the faculties, departments and other institutions of the University, and college libraries.

This central library sector website aims to provide an online guide for each library associated with the University of Oxford. The guides include addresses, contact details, opening hours, admission and borrowing policies, subject areas and catalogue information.
Within the indexes to the guides the information icons (
) link to the aforementioned centrally held library guides, while the web icons (
) link to a library's own website.

The OLIS catalogue uses shortened forms of library names to give details of an item's location. This lists the codes and full names for each library with holdings on OLIS.

The map of libraries is available in several formats and shows the city centre of Oxford clearly marking the location of the libraries associated with the university.
