Opening Hours

Note that opening hours may sometimes change at short notice. If travelling to visit a library you are advised to check with the library to confirm details.

Term time:	Mon-Thurs 08.30-20.30, Fri 08.30-19.00, Sat 13.00-17.00, Sun 12.00-16.00
Vacation:	Easter vacation: Mon-Thurs 9.00-19.30, Fri 09.00-17.30 Christmas and Summer vacations: Mon-Fri 09.00-17.30
Closed:	August Bank Holiday and when the Department of Education is closed over Christmas and Easter.
Notes:	Note that our term time opening hours follow the PGCE term, which is longer than the University term and closer to the Oxfordshire school term.

Admission and Borrowing Policies

Note that by necessity these policies are much simplified and provided for initial guidance only. Please check with the library for full details.

OU undergraduate students:	Admissions: all. Borrowing: all Current students may borrow 3 books from the EDU Library. Usual loan period of 1 week, on production of University Card. Extra book allowance may be permitted by permission of the Librarian.
OU postgraduate students:	Admissions: all. Borrowing: all Current students may borrow 10 books from the EDU Library. Usual loan period of 1 week, on production of University Card. Extra book allowance may be permitted by permission of the Librarian.
OU academic and research staff:	Admissions: all. Borrowing: all Current academic and research staff may borrow 20 books from the EDU Library. Usual loan period of 4 weeks, on production of University Card.
Others:	Admissions: all. Borrowing: none External researchers are welcome to use the Library for reference. Please contact Bodleian Admissions for a Library Card.

These include: educational research methodology; international and comparative education; higher education; e-learning; applied linguistics and second language acquisition; literacy; child learning and development; teacher education and continuing professional development; education in mathematics, science, English, history, geography, religious education, and modern languages..
