Electronic Resources Awareness (ERA) WebLearn
http://www.weblearn.ox.ac.uk/
WebLearn is the University's Virtual Learning Environment (VLE). WebLearn is
organised like a building with floors for the various departments and then rooms
on each floor accommodating information, questionnaires, links to internal and
external Websites, discussion forums, etc. The Library Services floor
concentrates on providing information about libraries and library services, and
on helping you to use library services and resources. There are quizzes to help
you use the catalogue and guides to using databases like Web of Knowledge and
TDNet, the electronic journal database. There are also announcements giving
details of library closures, special events, and additions to electronic
resources. If you have a query about library services you can post a message
asking for help, or guidance, in the Library Services Discussion Room.
If you do not have a personal login to use with WebLearn you can still access
the Library Services floor by logging on as a visitor.
The Library Services floor of WebLearn is a new service, so feedback from
people using the floor would be very useful. This can be posted in the Library
Services Discussion Room on WebLearn or sent to:
